The NFL’s annual schedule release is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, providing a blueprint for the journey to Super Bowl LXI in Inglewood, California. The league’s broadcast partners will be allowed to preview certain matchups in the lead-up to the official unveiling. All nine record-setting international contests will be disclosed on or before Wednesday.

The 2026 regular season is set to kick off on Wednesday, September 9, when the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks host an as-yet-unnamed opponent. The following day, the league’s inaugural game in Australia will take place in Melbourne, as the Los Angeles Rams face the San Francisco 49ers. That contest is scheduled for Friday morning local time.

This season features three games in London: two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, home of the English Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur, and one at Wembley Stadium. Additional international matchups will be held in Paris, France; Mexico City, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Munich, Germany; and Madrid, Spain, along with the Australia game.

The schedule release will air on NFL Network, ESPN 2, and the ESPN app starting at 8 p.m. ET.

The Super Bowl following the 2026 season will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. The championship game is slated for February 14, 2027, and will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN.
