Kanta Mizuno has been officially announced as returning to Kyoto Hannaryz after a two-season absence, the B.League club confirmed on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old guard, who plays both point guard and shooting guard, previously spent time with Fukushima, Kawasaki, and Niigata before playing for Kyoto for three seasons from 2022 to 2023. He played for Kawasaki during the current season. Through the club, Mizuno commented, “It’s been a while! I came back with the strong desire to win a championship in Kyoto!”
Kyoto’s general manager Naoki Murakami welcomed the return, stating, “Mizuno’s energy, tenacious defense, and his relentless focus on the ball are indispensable. We expect him to become a very important presence for the Hannaryz.”
