São Paulo midfielder Bobadilla said his team “gave away all three goals” in their 3-2 defeat to Corinthians at the Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão. The Paraguayan spoke to Amazon Prime Video after the classic clash.
“We didn’t play a good match. Their three goals – we handed them over. So we have to work and work, because this cannot happen,” Bobadilla stated.
He also highlighted the need to correct mistakes made during the game ahead of future fixtures. When asked why the team struggles to perform well in “bigger” matches, the midfielder responded: “We have to work even harder. That’s the only way to get out of this situation – by working.”
Corinthians took the lead through Raniele, but São Paulo managed to equalize before halftime. In the second half, Matheuzinho and Bidon scored for the home side, while São Paulo pulled one back via an own goal from Corinthians’ right-back.
Both teams return to action this week. Roger Machado’s side will visit Juventude on Wednesday (13) at 7:00 PM (Brasília time), while Fernando Diniz’s team faces Barra on Thursday (14) at 7:30 PM, both in the Copa do Brasil.
