The Chiba Lotte Marines have removed outfielder Kyota Fujiwara from the active roster as of May 11. Fujiwara suffered a right shoulder anterior subluxation during defensive play in the game against the SoftBank Hawks on May 10, forcing him to leave the game early.
The team announced the diagnosis later that day, confirming the severity of the injury. Fujiwara, a key player in the Marines’ lineup, was immediately taken to a hospital after the incident. Acting manager Saburo indicated that the timeline for his return would depend on the results of further evaluation.
News of his removal sparked an outpouring of shock and dismay among fans on social media. Many expressed disbelief with comments like “This is the worst possible outcome,” “I’m truly stunned,” and “Are you kidding me?”
